Purpose
The King and Queen Program is TNBA's major revenue bearing
program. The contest is designed to promote friendly competition between
the senates and at the same time provide revenue to participating senates
and TNBA. Each participating senate gets one-third commission of
the gross receipts reported. First contestants compete on the local level, then
winners go on to compete in the national finals. The coronation is held
at the King and Queen Ball during TNBA week.
Benefits
The King and Queen represent TNBA during their
reigning year at two of the four regional tournaments. The royals
will also represent TNBA at other events throughout the year. They also
host the next year's TNBA week activities including the King and
Queen Luncheon and King and Queen Coronation Ball. |
Eligibility
Any TNBA member in good standing is eligible. You must
be willing to work hard
to support the growth of the local senate
and the national association. All senate members are encouraged to participate
in the many events held to support this program.
